Arm "NIGHT STAY" (Not just STAY)?

Browsing through the documentation, I'm only coming across this, but it appears to be incorrect...

According to the documentation, they are stating that STAY/NIGHT are the same thing, but according the Vista 20P panel, they are not.

Position Description
1 Indicates if the panel is READY
2 Indicates if the panel is ARMED AWAY
3 Indicates if the panel is ARMED HOME
4 Indicates if the keypad backlight is on
5 Indicates if the keypad is in programming mode
6 Number (1-7) indicating how many beeps are associated with the message
7 Indicates that a zone has been bypassed
8 Indicates if the panel is on AC power
9 Indicates if the chime is enabled
10 Indicates that an alarm has occurred. This is sticky and will be cleared after a second disarm.
11 Indicates that an alarm is currently sounding. This is cleared after the first disarm.
12 Indicates that the battery is low
13 Indicates that entry delay is off (ARMED INSTANT/MAX)
14 Indicates that there is a fire
15 Indicates a system issue
16 Indicates that the panel is only watching the perimeter (ARMED STAY/NIGHT)
17 System specific bits. 4 bits packed into a HEX Nibble [0-9,A-F]
18 Ademco or DSC Mode A or D
19 Unused
20 Unused

Night is the trickiest mode of all because it can function in different ways depending on how the installer set it.

But, usually, the 30-second entry delay with entrance through door though is removed and opening a door will instantly trip the alarm. This instant trip is used to keep your family safe at night if a burglar breaks in.

You don’t want to use this mode if you go to bed before someone else in your family gets home.

Night-Stay and StayInstant are more or less the same. I haven't seen any mode-specific options in Compass to change these feature (though they are maybe there somewhere), and there isn't even a feature on my 6160RF keypad itself to enable Night-Stay, just "Instant". I don't even know how the plugin/AD2* are putting my system into Night-Stay. I've tested it out though (opening stuff while armed in both modes) and haven't seen the difference.

I found this and will look more closely. I guess pressing stay-stay on the keypad after your code puts it in night, and 81 is how you program it. I'll see what Compass can do with it as well (program it with the keypad, then look at the changes in Compass).

OK so I surely missed it indeed! I programmed night-stay via the 81 command listed in the manual, uploaded the new settings via Compass and used the Compare function. I found a neat little zone association menu that I hadn't taken notice to before, pic included.

Programming the zone list with the keypad is super fast though- just have your zone list handy when doing it!
