Sometimes when auto scanning zones it inserts a bad character into the zones table - this needs to be fixed, but temporarily you can edit the database table to remove the invalid character in the 'zones' table of /opt/alarmdecoder-webapp/instance/db.sqlite (download this file, open with sqlitebrowser or other sqlite editing tool, replace file) or you can start with a fresh database and input zones manually

This is a little over my head. I looked at the documentation, but did not see how to get to the database or start with a fresh one. Is there a document that covers that?
Thanks,

To start with a fresh database:

ssh to the pi
cd /opt/alarmdecoder-webapp
sudo rm instance/db.sqlite
python manage.py initdb

That will put the webapp back to stock

Thanks Kevin!
I was able to edit the database and remove the invalid characters. Learning so much here...
