Is this a B+ model? Not the quad core model? Yes, the CPU on that model is not quite suited for this task, the quad core performs much better.

Thanks Kevin,

I never checked model version....just took the nearest available pi I had. It seems I am using the B model revision 000E.
Get back with results once I've changed to newer board.'

A quick update:

I have installed Alarmdecoder on a raspberry pi 2.
Following the setup procedure...setting it to DSC...worked directly
Made the necessary changes to get the CAMs working......impressed!
Once you click on a cam tag, it shows the latest still image with about 1 sec delay.

Now what I will need assistance with...:
when DSC alarm is armed and a DSC specific zone activates - alarmdecoder gets a series of still images from specified camera nbr - saves to sd card - emails to a predetermined list.

We are planning on expanding the notification system to integrate cameras that detect a face - as for now, it is just a convenient portal to watch your cameras and alarm in the same interface. If you have custom buttons defined, these will appear on the cameras page as well - so you can define a custom panic button for instance, and if something you see on the cameras you don't like, you can hit the button to activate the alarm for example.
