Issue with Web GUI

Postby ando1 » Tue Aug 26, 2014 2:17 pm

I am having an issue with the web app. I connected and setup my AD2USB on my RaspberryPI which is loaded with the pre-configured Bets Raspbian image. I can access the web app but when I try to send codes to my alarm nothing happens. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
Andy

You had your AD2USB previously working correctly with your alarm panel?

Can you telnet to your raspberry pi on port 10000 and send commands successfully?

Does the Web GUI work in other browsers than the one you are currently using?

Thanks Kevin,

No this is the first time setting the AD2USB up. I did have to set the address to 19 as I had an existing keypad already at 18. I have tried all browsers (Chrome, Safari, and FF) with the same result. Also was able to tenet into the AD2USB but commands did not work. I did see the "Sending....Done" message after each key press though.

It must be something I am missing.

Sounds like you need to enable address 19 on your panel itself!

Our documentation has instructions for this here:

Instead of 191 use 192 for address 19!

I really appreciate your help on this

OK you were right about needing to activate keypad address 19! But after doing that I still have the same issue. Another thing I noticed is that when I enabled the keypad address my computer that was logged into the webapp beeped like it was confirming it was activated. When entering codes into the webapp keypad however there are no beeps.

Any other suggestions?

If you telnet to the device at port 10000 and are not able to see messages or send messages to the panel please make sure your wiring is correct and your ad2 configuration is also correct for your alarm panel.

DOH!!! I figured it out! I had 2 issues:

1. The keypad address (19) was not activated on the panel
2. I had the wrong keypad address in the webapp (I had tried address 20 at one point and never changed it)

After setting everything at address 19 now it is working!

Thanks Kevin for your patience and help!
