When I tried to upgrade firmware to the latest 2.8.8. it failed with "incorrect data sent to bootloader".

Now my device is in bad state with boot loop. Is there a way to recover it?

$ ad2-firmwareupload ademcoemu_V2-2a-8-8.hex localhost:10000 115200
Flashing device: localhost:10000 - 115200 baud
Firmware: ademcoemu_V2-2a-8-8.hex
Rebooting device..
Waiting for boot loader..
Uploading firmware........................................................................
Error: Incorrect data sent to bootloader.

I gave another try this morning. surprisedly without any change, the upload process completed without error. now the device is back on V2.2a.8.8

however, the device couldn't communicate with the panel. the diagnosis shows this problem. in telnet to localhost:10000, the console responds to C, V, = commands. but there is no message receives from the panel. what could be the next step to troubleshoot this. input from anyone reads this post is much appreciated. the device has been working fine for years and suddenly acting up this week. I have it integrated with smart things. without it, it has broken a lot of things relying on zone tracking and alarming status.
