Newby ? AD2Pi network does not connect

I recently purchased the AD2Pi bundle and I don't see a connection on my network switch. When I connect a windows 7 computer to the switch, it connects (blinking light on switch). I have completed the following
1. Connected the 4 wires to a Vista 10SE alarm panel.
2. Connected mini usb power to the Pi
3. Connected a network cable to the Pi through a switch

There is a green light flashing on the center of the Pi and there are solid red and yellow lights on the top left of the Pi.

I am not familiar with the Pi and do not know if I need to preconfigure anything on the Pi in advance. I looked through the forums and documentation, but could not find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Each and every one of these we send out is flashed with the most current and up to date image we provide and should boot up out of the box. We test every one for functionality before we ship it - so it sounds like it was possibly damaged in shipment.

Just to verify when you plug it in - there is no rapid flashing of the green light on the pi as well as the ad2pi? You have the ad2pi wired exactly as an existing keypad would? If you disconnect power from the ad2pi and just try booting the raspberry pi via the wall outlet + usb does it boot up?

Could also be somehow the SD Card became corrupted or unseated, worth checking. If you have an SD Card reader you should be able to flash our image to it for verification.

Another option would be to try another power supply - any 5v 1amp AC to DC will work - maybe the one from your phone charger is powerful enough.

I got it to work. I took out the sd card and reinserted it back into the pi. All is working. Thank you for the quick response.
