Honeywell Lynx

Postby tinfranca@yahoo.com » Tue Jan 03, 2017 9:52 am

Just bought an ad2usb.

I have a Honeywell L3000 panel.
The supported panels page on this website says this is a supported panel but will require some additional work.
"† The "Honeywell Lynx 3000 Plus" panel is supported but requires additional work to connect. No other Lynx panels work with AlarmDecoder at this time. "

I am not having any luck finding documentation on what that additional work is.

I assume one of those is a separate power source as my panel does not output 12v. And that another is some other way to find Data In (DI) and Data Out (DO) since there is no serial bus with those terminals? Perhaps tapping into the 4 wire ECP bus?

Has anyone gotten this to work yet or have ideas on next steps?

You need a cable like this or make a cable like this: https://www.houselogix.com/shop/honeywe ... 3000-cable

There are photos on the page connecting the alarm keypad bus to their HSIM module which would hook up the same as the alarmdecoder products.
Not an employee of the company. Just here to help and keep things clean.

Any news on this topic? I have the honeywell Lynx that came with my ADT Pulse service and, as a matter of fact, the cables were already installed to allow their security panel to communicate with their zwave controller, so all i have to do is replace that with my vera and ad2usb! Did you need to use an installer code or anything? what address was the panel?
