Latest Firmware issues

Postby paul.aviles » Fri Oct 27, 2017 8:13 pm

Hello all

I recently upgraded my AD with the latest 2.2a.8.8 firmware. Afterwards, I have noticed that all the Alarm Event notifications have the subject duplicated or better explanation will probably show you...

Subject: FW: Alarm Event ( Mon Oct 23 21:44:47 2017) ( Tue Oct 24 06:31:17 2017) ( Tue Oct 24 07:20:35 2017) ( Tue Oct 24 15:16:43 2017) ( Wed Oct 25 07:17:58 2017) ( Wed Oct 25 15:54:21 2017) ( Thu Oct 26 07:16:53 2017) ( Thu Oct 26 14:16:55 2017) ( Fri Oct 27 07

This is not generated by the mail server, but something in the Pi itself. I am running:

Panel Model: VISTA-20P
Panel Firmware Version: 10.23 04.01
Potential Installer Code: XXX
Number of Devices: 21
Possible Keypads
Address: 17 Type: Keypad
Address: 18 Type: Keypad

If I do a Get Panel Info I get the following message:

Enroll Attempt
Try to unlock and set address 19? Please make sure AUI keypads (TuxedoTouch etc) are unplugged to avoid command collisions

Obviously, Address 19 is the AD2PI itself, so dont know how to address that.

Regular PI image with the AD2PI with the device location as Local Device
/dev/serial0, 115200
Share AlarmDedoder on your Network: Enabled
/etc/ser2sock, localhost, 10000, non encrypted
Panel Type: Honeywell/Ademco
Keypad Address: 19
Alarm Decoder Address Mask: ffffffff
Webapp Address Mask: ffffffff
Zone Expander: Nothing selected
Relay Expander: Nothing selected
Emulated LRR: Enabled
Deduplicate Messages: Enabled

If I disable the Share AlarmDedoder on your Network it seems to work better, however that breaks HomeAssistant

Also, while the host name is properly setup and I have a proper A record in DNS which I can also reverse ping the AD UI under Advanced/Forward Ports still sees the internal address as https://alarmdecoder.local instead. I can still use the GUI as normal, but it should be fixed anyway.

Last issue I have is the UI stuck in "Please Wait Loading" on my PC/Tablet/Smart Phone etc.

if I press * the system will refresh, but if the system is armed it will count down from 60 until is ready.

Any ideas or assistance will be appreciated.

Regards,

Paul

This seems to pop up when people go through setup multiple times... don't know the cause yet, but you can fix it by starting with a fresh database.

Hi Kevin, what do you mean a clean database, do I lose all the configurations I have?

If I do that and ran setup again, will the problem happen again?

What are the steps?

If you only go through setup once, it shouldn't happen ... and yes, you will lose everything you have setup

Not sure why this happens yet

but you can ssh into the pi and do a:

cd /opt/alarmdecoder-webapp
sudo rm instance/db.sqlite
python manage.py initdb

That will reset it to stock
