Postby jplouch » Thu Jan 11, 2018 9:15 pm

If it can read the state but not send keys, then it is usually a keypad address conflict or it is sitting on an address that the keypad is not enabled on - telnet to the appliance at port 10000 and check the configuration (send C), version (send V), and try and arm and disarm from there.

Hit the "C" key followed by enter
for V do the same
For your arm and disarm, send 12343 followed by enter to arm and 12341 followed by enter to disarm, replace 1234 with your code

I am interested to know if it works there as well as seeing your configuration and version information

Yeah, just ignore the advances - your keystrokes will still go through

I am interested to see the configuration mostly - the address string

Something like this:

C
!>
!CONFIG>MODE=A&CONFIGBITS=ff04&ADDRESS=16&LRR=Y&COM=Y&EXP=NNNNN&REL=NNNN&MASK=ffffffff&DEDUPLICATE=N
!Reading configuration.
!UART init.
V
!VER:ffffffff,V2.2a.8.2,TX;RX;SM;VZ;RF;ZX;RE;AU;3X;CG;DD;MF;LR;KE;MK;CB;DS;ER

If you are at address 1, you should change to address 18 or something more relevant

While in telnet, you can do "CADDRESS=18" and try to arm and disarm

In my example above, I am at address 16
