Just wanted to let you know that I was getting locale errors on installing/configuring the Beta image. (Didn't try the Stable image, so I can't say if it shares this problem.)
In a nutshell, locale support hadn't been properly installed (or had been improperly pruned off), so I had to do an apt-get install locales before being able to successfully generate & install locales using raspi-config.
