USB Port Died on AD2USB?

Postby hmy1 » Tue Jul 29, 2014 7:22 pm

I have an AD2USB unit circa 2012. It has a mini USB port. It has been working flawlessly until just a couple days ago. For some reason, it appears that the USB port is no longer communicating with my PC. I tried reconnecting the USB cable and power cycling the AD2USB (by disconnecting and reconnecting the 12V power line), but the PC does not detect anything plugged into its USB port. When power cycling the AD2USB, the green LED does flash as if bootup was happening normally and then goes into an ongoing blinking cycle, so nothing unusual there as far as I can tell.

I've swapped out the USB cable, made sure the USB port on the PC was fine, and even connected the AD2USB to another PC. Seems like a problem is with the AD2USB. Is it possible that the USB port on the AD2USB has gone bad? Any suggestions on how to debug further? My AD2USB is connected to a Vista 20P.

Thank you,
Howard
