Low Battery message on keypad

Postby paul.aviles » Tue Feb 27, 2018 8:51 pm

Every once in a while I see a message on the keypad showing: 0195328 Low Battery.

My understanding is that this is the mfg.serial_number of the device.

Now, I have an RF keypad and only 3 wireless devices which I do have the code I entered during the installation and the one showing low bat is not one of them so perhaps the A001-12345 number for each device must not be same as the serial number?

Is there a different way to identify the device with a low bat?

Thanks

Paul

You're seeing these on the regular alarm panel, or the AD panel? I've got lots of other people's RF sensors around me, and I'll occasionally see them pop up on the AD panel with the Low Battery warning. I just ignore them. AD will only send notifications if there are low batteries associated with a zone you registered, and your regular panel should also only show low batteries for your devices.

The A123-4567 is the SN 1234567.
