NOOB Cant figure out AD2USB on RPI

Postby s2928 » Wed Sep 03, 2014 8:32 pm

Dont really know where to start.

I have my AD2USB up and running on mac and can control it via web app and serial tool.

I am trying to switch over to RPI so i can access from my mac and other devices remotely. New to linux. some python experience. I know enough to navigate directories in terminal, set up passwordless ssh, set up vnc client.

Loaded alarmdecoder raspbian image (beta). have everything hooked up. not sure what to do next to launch webapp or otherwise test device on RPI. Read documentation and searched forum. Feeling pretty stupid.

Do i need to issue some commands in terminal mode to get things set up, or just launch an app? not quite sure what to type.

If there is documentation i should review, or anything else someone might suggest, i would appreciate it.

Thanks.

You should be able to just go to the pi in your web browser and set everything up

Well, that was easy. Up and running in seconds. THANK YOU!

This is a great device.

I feel pretty dumb. Is there somewhere in the documentation i should have read that?

Good for me to see why i missed it.

Might be good to put a link to that page in this thread, in case someone else has same problem.

Thanks again.

No real documentation on beta features at the moment, so you didn't miss anything. Glad you like it!
