[Solved] ad2usbgui doesn't create log file

Hello,

I have the ad2usbgui running on a Raspberry Pi and it doesn't appear to be creating a log file. The entries show up in the "Log" section of the GUI, however there is no ad2usbgui.log in /var/log/

The default location for the log is in the same folder as the program. You can try and move it adding the full path and file name to the config for logging but permissions may be in the way.

Unfortunately there is no log in that directory either.

Odd. Ok lets try this. Zip up your GUI folder and email it back to me to review. Send it to general@support.nutech.com

This looks like a bug in version 2.0.6 Update to the latest version 2.0.8 and give it a try.

I do not currently have a zip file download for the Pi but you can install it onto a windows computer and then transfer the AlarmDecoder folder to your Raspberry Pi. You should be able to run the Linux installer on the Pi if you have a JVM installed but I have not tested this myself.

Let me know if it is a problem to install on the Pi and I will provide a solution.
